To diffuse ideas and knowledge outside the business community Fredrik started Transfer in 2000 and still serves as the founding chairman. Transfer is today Sweden's largest non-profit organization for bringing speakers from companies to teach in schools. Transfer currently delivers over 2,500 business speakers free of charge every year to well over 300 schools in Stockholm, Gothenburg, the Oresund region, Uppsala and Orebro. Become a speaker!

As an art fan, Fredrik has the privilege to serve on the board of Moderna Museets Vanner (The Friends of Moderna Museet), the support and membership organisation for the museum of modern art in Stockholm - Moderna Museet. To become a member, you can sign up online!

Fredrik Arnander's background as an entrepreneur includes co-founding Scandinavia's first online fund supermarket Fondex (founded in 1998 and acquired by the Exchange Ltd. in 2000) and co-founding industrial design company Brighthandle (founded in 2001 and acquired by Assa Abloy in 2004). He was also a partner and the chairman of the leading Swedish interactive agency Starring (acquired by LBI Group in 2006, and re-named SyrupSthlm in 2009). Furthermore, he was a founding partner and strategy consultant with Normann Partners (founded in 2003), a think-and-do-tank for top-management focused on innovation and entrepreneurship.

Fredrik is also the co-founder of Sidewalk Express (founded in 2001), the leading European chain of Internet access points and digital outdoor advertising with operations today in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Germany with over 5 million customers per year. In 2009, Sidewalk Express was acquired by Speed International to further develop the company.

In the early days of the Internet boom, Fredrik left his job as a management consultant in 1996 to work for the Internet agency Icon Medialab, a fast company that grew from zero to over 3,000 employees in more than ten countries in just four years.

His first English book "Managing.com" (FT.com/Pearson Education, 2001) is about lessons learned from Internet companies. Even though the book was intended as a field book for new technology ventures, Amazon wrote in their review that "his recollections of early Internet pioneers and his experiences of working in two Swedish start-ups add a human dimension that prevents Managing.com from reading like a manual".

Fredrik Arnander is a graduate from the Stockholm School of Economics, and unlike many other entrepreneurs he did not drop out, but wasted time on getting a management degree.
